Innovative package for Tofu, "Salt-off Cup" contributing to the reduction of salt intake

Toyo Seikan Group, a packaging manufacturer founded over a century ago, launched the open innovation project called “OPENUP!” with the aim of addressing issues as they change with the times to “open up” the future with innovation utilizing its accrued technical strengths and expertise.

As the third product of the project, we are pleased to announce the launch of a package for tofu, “Salt-off Cup”. This innovative package euipped with the measurement function for seasoning contributes to the reduction of salt intake without changing anything on food itself.

This is developed by a combination of the packaging technology and knowhow of Toyo Seikan Group and the expertise of a healthtech startup, Oishii Kenko, Ltd. which provides services for disease prevention and management, dieting.
